A very pretty antique, late Victorian era mourning ring. This is an initial ring with an applied gold letter M, lightly engraved and set on a rich black onyx panel.
The ring has decorative shaped shoulders and a slim smooth polished band.
This style was popular towards the end of the 19th century and through the Edwardian era. It is marked 9ct on the band.
