A very pretty antique, late Victorian era mourning ring. This is an initial ring with an applied gold letter M, lightly engraved and set on a rich black onyx panel. The ring has decorative shaped shoulders and a slim smooth polished band. This style was popular towards the end of the 19th century and through the Edwardian era. It is marked 9ct on the band. Late Victorian era, English made. Approx weight 1.9 grams Wear as shown in pictures.
