This late 19th-century Victorian mourning brooch features a striking geometric "target" design, showcasing a smooth central jet dome framed by a crisp Greek key (meander) border. Reflecting the classic mourning fashion of the era, the glossy black jet front is securely housed in a solid metal backing tray. The reverse features its original, fully intact extended pin stem and hand-soldered wire 'C' clasp. A beautiful, well-preserved piece of historic period jewellery.
